Looks like GJ is dying a slow death. I'm still kytyn on LJ if anyone's going there, and I've set up an account (as melydia) on InsaneJournal should anyone take the GJ admin's advice.

P.S. - If anybody (like me) is having trouble with the export function, you can also save your journal to a PDF file using LJbook. Despite the name, it works for GJ too.) |

| Year-End Book Wrap-up, 2007 |
[Jan. 2nd, 2008|08:52 pm] |
All in all, I averaged about eight days per book. Not bad, not bad at all. My increased commute time meant more audiobooks too, a trend that will doubtless continue through 2008.

| | satisfied | ] | Howdy. With the demise of basically all GJ photo hosting, the links to various show photo albums on the SF homepage are busted. If anyone has any photos from past shows to put on the website, please let me know. You can either email them to me or shove 'em onto a photobucket account and let me know where to find them. Oh yeah, and be sure to mention what show they're from. Thanks. Feel free to pass this along to other Sine Fine alumni. |

| | Gnarls Barkley, Gone Daddy Gone | ] | Several months ago, illishar posted some Legion of Starlight cards portraying various characters chosen by her friends. I got bored one day and started drawing them.
Disclaimer: These are not meant to look like specific real people. They are my cartoony interpretations of already cartoony dollz.
( Legion of Starlight, part 1 )
Despite the cut text, I don't know if I'm going to draw the rest of them. I just thought I'd share these for now. |

| Friday Night Scanathon |
[Apr. 14th, 2006|09:44 pm] |
I scanned all the stuff from my Scruffles & Ruffles binder tonight. I figured I should probably get it out of the way before getting Yibble's and Jen's stuff. There were 106 images and that's not counting the 3-D stuff (I have a box somewhere with the necklaces and stuff like that) or the spin-offs.
Most things had dates, putting most of this stuff in 1989 or 1990. I wasn't much of an artist when I was 10 years old and we got a lot of chuckles out of my drawings, but this is the one that really had Bill and I in tears:

Not only is she obviously built out of sausage, her head is at a truly unlikely angle. How is it attached to her body? Does her neck sprout from her left shoulder? And how is that crown not falling off? |

Lookie lookie, it's my first foray into fanart: http://www.deviantart.com/view/31498331/
Ryaka is still in the works, but I'm afraid I won't be able to do Frank and France-Wah. I can't seem to decide what they look like - the characters are me and Rachel, and yet still at least kind of male...man, gender roles sure were fluid in high school, weren't they? |

| | Copper Sails - Lifeline | ] | Last night I dreamed I was in a role-playing campaign with Yibble and her SIU friends - arcanajester, Jimmy_z, and periwinkle_gb were there for sure, and some other people I didn't recognize. I think we were playing our characters from the Legion of Starlight, actually. I know I was playing some kind of fairy.
Then I woke up and discovered there was no hot water in my apartment. See? See what RPGs can do to you? They can give you cold showers, that's what! |
